The Sagra del Buongustaio is the great summer festival of Langosco, a municipality in Lomellina in the province of Pavia, located right on the border with Piedmont. For two weekends in July, the town gathers in the charming Giardino dei Tigli (Linden Garden), the green area next to the town hall, for an event that celebrates good food and conviviality.
100% Lomellina cuisine
The common thread of the festival is local cuisine: the stars are the 100% Made in Lomellina specialities, a land of rice paddies straddling Pavia, Vercelli, and Novara. The menu features typical appetizers, agnolotti, mixed fried dishes in the Piedmontese style, and many other dishes that tell the gastronomic tradition of this strip of the Po Valley plain, where Lombard and Piedmontese cuisines meet.
Music and dancing evenings
Dinners are accompanied by live music and dancing evenings, following the best tradition of Lomellina village festivals. The open-air restaurant opens in the evening, and the Giardino dei Tigli, with its intimate atmosphere, provides the ideal setting for a festival that draws visitors from neighbouring towns as well.
A festival organised by the community
The festival is promoted by the Pro Loco Langosco, which involves volunteers and local associations in its organisation every year. It is a moment of strong identity for a small community in Lomellina, which opens its doors to those who want to discover the authentic flavours of this agricultural territory.
Sagra del Buongustaio — edition 2026
The Sagra del Buongustaio 2026 returns to Langosco in July, in the Giardino dei Tigli next to the town hall. The event, organised by Pro Loco Langosco, will take place as usual over two weekends with the open-air restaurant offering 100% Made in Lomellina specialities, from appetizers to agnolotti to mixed fried dishes in the Piedmontese style. The evenings will be accompanied by music and dancing. The precise schedule and full menu will be published by the Pro Loco closer to the event.
