Since 1763, the festival of the first Sunday in October, the realm of roast duck
The Rosary Festival in Torri di Quartesolo, in the province of Vicenza, is one of the oldest festivals in the area: since 1763, every year on the first Sunday in October, the town celebrates the Madonna del Rosario. The event takes place in Piazza della Chiesa and along Via Roma, around the parish church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio.
The symbolic dish of the festival is the arna, the traditional Vicenza-style roast duck, from which the popular name Festa dell'Arna derives. Alongside the duck, the food stall offers specialties such as pizza in the square, 'panini onti' (greasy sandwiches), fritters, and desserts, with tastings of wines and craft beers. A local cuisine that attracts gourmets from all over the province every year.
In addition to food, the Rosary Festival offers exhibitions (including bonsai displays), a widespread funfair between Piazza del Comune and the surrounding streets, and ballroom dancing evenings, which have always been the heart of Venetian festivals. Five days of celebration that liven up the center of Torri di Quartesolo from afternoon until evening.
Organized by the parish of Saints Gervasio and Protasio, the Rosary Festival combines devotion to the Madonna del Rosario with popular celebration, confirming itself as one of the identity events of the Vicenza autumn and an occasion for the entire community of Torri di Quartesolo to come together.
The Rosary Festival 2026 in Torri di Quartesolo (VI) will be held around the first Sunday in October (October 4, 2026), continuing the unbroken tradition since 1763. In Piazza della Chiesa and along Via Roma, the food stall with 'arna' (roast duck) will return, alongside exhibitions, the widespread funfair, and ballroom dancing evenings. Final dates and program will be published by the parish on the official website shortly before the event.
