The road race in the heart of Rome, starting from the Baths of Caracalla (formerly Rome 21K)
The Rome 15K is the new road race taking place in the historic center of Rome, in the province of Rome, in the Lazio region. Organized by S.S.D. Forhans Team A.R.L., a historic promoter of Roman running, the event carries on the legacy of the Rome 21K, the half-marathon that animated the city's streets for years, relaunching it in a faster and more accessible format. The 2026 edition is set for Sunday, November 8, 2026, with the start and finish line in the evocative setting of the Baths of Caracalla.
The program includes two distances designed to unite competitive athletes and enthusiasts:
The route winds through some of the city's iconic landmarks, from the Colosseum to the Circus Maximus, from the Imperial Fora to the banks of the Tiber, offering participants a unique perspective on twenty centuries of history. Running in Rome means crossing an open-air museum, amidst archaeology, monumental squares, and timeless vistas.
The Rome 15K is aimed at both registered athletes and amateur runners and sports tourists who choose to discover the city while running. Thanks to the careful organization of the Forhans Team, the event offers professional timing by ICRON, a race pack, and medical and technical assistance along the course. Finishers receive the event medal, while the village set up at the Stadio delle Terme di Caracalla hosts bib collection and participant hospitality.
The race is part of the Capital's rich autumn running calendar, a time of year when the mild climate and bright days make Rome an ideal destination for running lovers. The Rome 15K confirms the city's vocation as a stage for major outdoor sporting events, capable of attracting thousands of participants from all over Italy and abroad, transforming the city center streets into a path to be experienced step by step.
The event takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, with logistics based at the Baths of Caracalla. The two races start in sequence from Viale delle Terme di Caracalla.
The route crosses the monumental heart of the Capital, passing near the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, and the Tiber river banks. Timing by ICRON, race pack, and finisher medal for participants. Bib collection takes place at the village at the Stadio delle Terme di Caracalla in the days preceding the race.
