Romagna in fiore is the eco-sustainable and widespread festival conceived by Ravenna Festival in 2024, in the aftermath of the May 2023 flood that severely hit Romagna. The idea is simple and powerful: to bring great music to the places damaged by the water, transforming villages, river parks, and hills into open-air stages, to keep the spotlight on these communities and help them bloom again. In Brisighella, a picturesque village in the Province of Ravenna, in Emilia-Romagna, the festival finds one of its most scenic settings.
A concert in the Vena del Gesso Park
The Brisighella stop takes place at the Centro Visite Rifugio Ca' Carné, immersed in the Vena del Gesso Romagnola Regional Park, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2023. Here, the festival's philosophy becomes radical: the performance venue is reached exclusively on foot, along a marked trail (about 5 km from Brisighella station, with a 300-meter elevation gain). No cars, no invasive systems: only the gypsum landscape, the silence of nature, and music.
A green and inclusive festival
The entire Romagna in fiore is dedicated to sustainability: afternoon concerts to take advantage of natural light, locations reachable on foot or by bicycle, absence of large structures, and attention to renewable energy. The festival is also deeply inclusive and supportive: in past editions, entry was free for those who had suffered flood damage, while a supporter's pass allows attendance of the entire program, helping the involved territories.
Eight villages, one musical embrace
Each year, Romagna in fiore designs a concert itinerary that crosses several municipalities in Romagna and the Bologna area, from Brisighella to Faenza, from Modigliana to Forlì, and Ravenna. Brisighella, with its three fortresses and medieval villages, represents one of the most beloved events: an opportunity to combine hiking, landscape, and great singer-songwriter music in a single day of celebration.

Eugenio Finardi at Ca' Carné
For the third edition of Romagna in fiore, featuring nine concerts from May 1 to May 24, 2026, the Brisighella stop hosted one of the great names of Italian singer-songwriter music: Eugenio Finardi. More rock-oriented than average and always consistent in his artistic choices, Finardi performed against the backdrop of the Vena del Gesso, accompanied by Giuvazza Maggiore (guitars, loops, vocals), Maximilian Agostini (keyboards, arrangements, bass), and Claudio Arfinengo (drums, percussion), reinterpreting his classics immersed in the natural beauty of the park.
The concert, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 16, was postponed to Sunday, May 17 at 12:00 PM due to weather conditions. Reachable exclusively on foot at the Ca' Carné Refuge, the event was sold out.

The concert venue is reached exclusively on foot, along a marked path: about 5 km from Brisighella train station, with a 300-meter positive elevation gain. Trekking shoes, water, and appropriate clothing are recommended. Car access to the performance venue is not permitted.
