Live music, Hippie Market, and street food amidst the Roman aqueducts
The Roma Libera Fest launches during the Liberation Day weekend, on April 25th and 26th, 2026, as a fresh addition to Rome's spring calendar. The first edition takes place at 692 Secret Garden, a private venue tucked between the remains of ancient Roman aqueducts along Via Tuscolana, in the Tuscolano district of Rome. This hidden green oasis, just a short walk from the Porta Furba-Quadraro metro stop, transforms for two days into a vibrant village of music, craftsmanship, and flavors.
The musical program spans global sounds and folk rhythms. On Saturday, April 25th, the stage comes alive in the afternoon with Ukus in Fabula (1:00 PM โ 5:00 PM), an international ukulele ensemble with over a hundred concerts under their belt, followed in the evening by Roma de Janeiro (6:00 PM โ 8:30 PM) featuring samba, forrรณ, and Brazilian music. On Sunday, April 26th, it is the turn of Clandestinos (12:00 PM โ 3:30 PM) with Latin sounds inspired by the Gipsy Kings and Manu Chao, closing with Fritto Misto, a live show featuring a DJ set, live streaming, and audience interaction.
Alongside the concerts, the festival features an Hippie Market with a curated selection of handicrafts, illustrations, ethical fashion, and vintage clothing, complemented by a wide range of street food. Throughout the tables and green spaces, roving performers including jugglers, clowns, and street artists will animate both days with scattered performances.
A special area is dedicated to children and families with Primavera Creativa (11:30 AM โ 7:30 PM): pottery and mosaic workshops, face painting, and a zen corner. There will also be immersive artistic experiences with El Pint, featuring live painting sessions at 2:30 PM on both days, accompanied by music.
With its blend of music, creativity, and open-air conviviality, the Roma Libera Fest establishes itself as a new city event in the Lazio region. The backdrop of the Roman aqueducts and the informal atmosphere of the 692 Secret Garden provide the perfect setting for a weekend designed to rediscover a surprising green corner of the Capital, just a stone's throw from the center.
