Rolling Truck Street Food Festival

Street food arrives on Lake Comabbio

Between late April and early May, Parco Berrini in Ternate, in the province of Varese, hosts the Rolling Truck Street Food Festival, a travelling event dedicated to quality street food, also known as FoodX. For four days, food trucks line the park overlooking Lake Comabbio, creating an open-air gastronomic village for eating, listening to music, and enjoying spring.

A taste of Italy (and the world) in every bite

The event's strength lies in its gastronomic variety. Among the equipped vans, you'll find a sample of Italian regional specialties — Sicilian arancini, Roman pinsa, Apulian panzerotti — alongside fish-based dishes and international offerings: American, Greek, and Mexican cuisine. There are also vegetarian and vegan options and a rich selection of desserts to satisfy every taste and age.

Music and festive atmosphere

Street food is only part of the experience: each evening is enlivened by live bands and DJ sets that transform the park into a meeting point for families, young people, and groups of friends. Admission is free, and extended hours allow for visits during lunch on holidays and in the evening for dinner and music.

Ternate, gateway to the Varese lakes

Ternate is a small municipality in the province of Varese overlooking Lake Comabbio, in an area rich in lakes and nature trails. Parco Berrini, with its waterfront location, is the ideal setting for an event that combines taste, music, and the outdoors, ideally opening the season of lakeside festivals.
