The major charity gala at the PalaCesaroni in Genzano di Roma
Rock per un Bambino is much more than just a concert: it is the most anticipated charity gala of the year in Genzano di Roma, located in the heart of the Castelli Romani, in the province of Rome (Lazio). Every spring, the PalaCesaroni opens its doors to thousands of spectators for a musical marathon where all proceeds are donated to the research and treatment of neonatal diseases.
The project was born in 2009 from an idea by Luca Guadagnini and his wife Genni Orazi, following the loss of their daughter Aurora, who passed away at just nineteen months old due to a rare childhood tumor. Rather than retreating into silence, the couple chose to transform their memory into something useful for others by founding the Aurora Music Rock Association and launching an event that, year after year, has grown into a landmark occasion throughout the Lazio region. The artistic direction is handled by Roberto Carannante.
The formula remains consistent and effective: alternating established Italian music artists with promising local talent, interspersed with dance and comedy. Over the years, the stage has hosted names such as Amedeo Minghi, Le Vibrazioni, Leo Gassmann, Drupi, Edoardo Vianello, Franco Ricciardi, and Ludwig, alongside local bands, dance schools from the Castelli Romani, and emerging singer-songwriters from Genzano like Yari. The event has been hosted for several editions by presenter Tiziana Mammucari.
Before the main concert, the afternoon is dedicated to the little ones: schools from the Municipality of Genzano di Roma bring the arena to life alongside the «Supereroi senza poteri» (Superheroes without powers) and the local Pro Loco, featuring games, performances, and entertainment. It is a way to involve families and explain the purpose of the fundraising to children.
The overall balance speaks for itself: over 275,000 euros raised since 2009, with more than 21,000 euros donated in the 2026 edition alone, which was a complete sell-out.
Genzano di Roma is known throughout Italy for its Infiorata (flower festival) of Corpus Domini and its PDO bread, but it is also a community that responds with great generosity: shopkeepers, associations, schools, and volunteers collaborate every year to ensure the success of the evening. The PalaCesaroni, the town's main sports facility, becomes for one night the theater of a popular celebration that blends pop music, rock, dance, and cabaret.
Those who come to Rock per un Bambino find a rich lineup at an affordable price, a warm audience, and the certainty that every ticket turns into a concrete contribution. It is an excellent opportunity to discover the Castelli Romani in spring, combining the evening with a walk around Lake Nemi or a food and wine stop at the local fraschette.
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the PalaCesaroni in Genzano di Roma hosted the sixteenth edition of Rock per un Bambino, organized by the Aurora Music Rock Association of Luca Guadagnini and Genni Orazi, with artistic direction by Roberto Carannante.
The day began at 5:00 PM with an afternoon dedicated to children, animated by local schools, the «Supereroi senza poteri», and the Genzano Pro Loco. From 8:00 PM, the main stage lit up with a star-studded lineup.
The result: a sold-out arena and over 21,000 euros donated to the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome and the Olly Association, which focuses on research into Epidermolysis Bullosa. A milestone that brings the total raised since 2009 to more than 275,000 euros.
