Rock Metal Fest

A metal festival in the heart of the Taranto area

Rock Metal Fest is the musical event that transforms Pulsano, a small town in the province of Taranto overlooking the Ionian Sea, into the Apulian capital of rock and metal every summer. Organized by the Rock Metal Events OdV Association, the festival has grown edition after edition to become a fixed and recognized appointment for fans of the genre throughout Puglia and beyond its borders.

A stage for emerging bands

The heart of Rock Metal Fest is the promotion of emerging talent: every year, the association opens a call for entries to which dozens of bands from all over the peninsula respond. A committee selects the bands that will have the honor of taking the stage, joined by a prominent headliner who closes the evening. It is a model that unites the Italian underground scene with established names, offering visibility to those taking their first steps and a high-quality show to the public.

An open-air, free evening

The format is that of a great popular metal festival: the event takes place outdoors, in the parking area of the industrial zone of Pulsano, with completely free admission, as per tradition. Gates open in the early evening and concerts continue late into the night. Around the stage, there are numerous merchandising stands with vinyls, comics, t-shirts, and themed gadgets, as well as a food court managed directly by the association's volunteers.

Passion, volunteering, and territory

Behind Rock Metal Fest is the work of a volunteer association that has been carrying out a self-financed and independent cultural project for years, supported by the Municipality of Pulsano and the Puglia Region. In addition to music, the festival has given space over the years to themes of civil commitment, such as raising awareness about gender equality. For one night, the industrial area of this corner of Puglia becomes the meeting point for a passionate community, united by their love for rock and metal.
