Popular and dialect theatre festival at the Teatro Comunale in Scurelle
Rivivendo... il Teatro is the winter theatre festival that, for several seasons now, has been filling the seats of the Teatro Comunale of Scurelle, a small town in the Valsugana valley in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. The event is promoted by the Associazione Teatrale Figli delle Stelle APS, a local organization based in Ospedaletto, and enjoys the patronage and support of the Municipality of Scurelle, which provides the village theatre hall.
The heart of the festival is Trentino amateur and dialect theatre: each event features a different local drama group that brings brilliant comedies, dialect plays, and shows to the stage, alternating lighthearted laughter with moments of reflection. It is community theatre in its most authentic form, bringing together non-professional actors, volunteers, and enthusiasts to keep a deeply rooted social tradition alive in the villages of Valsugana.
Performances are generally held on Saturday evenings at 8:45 PM, spread over several weeks between January and February. The calendar brings together companies such as the Filodrammatica Telve APS, the Filodrammatica S. Ermete of Calceranica, the Gli Insoliti Belatrich company of Arsiè, and the Associazione Figli delle Stelle itself, which manages the organization and often closes the festival with its own production.
For Scurelle and the surrounding towns, Rivivendo... il Teatro has become a highly anticipated appointment of the cold season: a way to gather in the evening in an intimate, familiar setting and rediscover the pleasure of live theatre away from the major circuits. The formula focuses on accessible comedies, often in dialect, that speak of coexistence, daily life, and human relationships, drawing laughter while also leaving room for thought.
Admission to the evenings is via tickets and season passes available at the box office on the night of the show; discounts are available for members. Given the limited capacity of the hall, booking is strongly recommended and can be done by writing to the organization. The festival is part of the broader activities of the Associazione Teatrale Figli delle Stelle, which also takes its shows to other theatres in Trentino throughout the year.
The fourth edition of the festival was held at the Teatro Comunale of Scurelle with four shows, all on Saturdays at 8:45 PM, between January and February 2026. The program alternated between comedy and popular dialect theatre, featuring amateur companies from Valsugana and Trentino.
The schedule opened on January 17 with El Convento del Santo Spirito by Filodrammatica Telve APS, continued on January 31 with Dieci sotto un tetto by Associazione Figli delle Stelle APS, on February 14 with Come le galine by Filodrammatica S. Ermete of Calceranica, and closed on February 28 with Rosso di sera, a play written by Lorena Guerzoni and performed by the Associazione Teatrale Figli delle Stelle, in an evening also dedicated to International Women's Day.
