Four days of music, street food, and fun in the heart of Valsesia
The Riverside Festival is one of the most anticipated highlights of the summer in Valsesia. Held in Quarona, a town in the province of Vercelli, Piedmont, the event transforms the Gabbio di Doccio area for four days into a vibrant meeting point for music lovers and foodies alike. What began as a local youth celebration has grown with every edition, becoming a landmark event for the entire Valsesia territory.
The Riverside Festival's formula centers on two stages running simultaneously: a main stage for evening concerts and a secondary stage that kicks off at dinner time. The program features a mix of jazz, pop-rock, disco, and revival, designed to appeal to all ages, from families to young crowds. Alongside established artists, the festival provides a platform for emerging bands and local talent, creating the signature blend that defines the event.
Beyond the music, the Riverside Festival is all about conviviality. Local associations and volunteers set up food stalls offering hot and cold dishes, diverse menus, sandwiches, desserts, and beer, creating a sprawling street food area open every night. The atmosphere captures the spirit of traditional Piedmontese village festivals, where music, gastronomy, and social life merge in a cheerful, family-friendly setting.
Organized by the Municipality of Quarona in partnership with the Pro Loco and supported by numerous local associations and businesses, the festival plays a vital role in the valley's identity and tourism. Admission is free and no booking is required: every year, the event attracts thousands of people from across Valsesia and surrounding provinces. In recent years, the organizers have also introduced initiatives focused on youth, inclusion, and solidarity, further cementing the festival's social mission.
The fifth edition of the Riverside Festival was held in Quarona from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, confirming its status as a highlight of the Valsesia summer. The program featured a rotation of concerts, DJ sets, and performances across two stages, accompanied every evening by street food and activities dedicated to young people.
The festival is held at the Gabbio di Doccio area, a hamlet of Quarona (Postal Code 13017), in the province of Vercelli, Piedmont.
