Running Among the Dolomites
The Riva-Ron is the non-competitive running race of Rivamonte Agordino, a small municipality in the Agordina Basin in the province of Belluno, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. A course of approximately 8 kilometers that embraces the picturesque Dolomite village, offering participants spectacular views of the Agordina mountains.
A Race for Everyone
Open to runners of all levels and families, the Riva-Ron starts from the Casa della Gioventù and winds along the paths and roads of the village. There is also an Under 16 category on a reduced course of about 1.5 km, designed for the younger participants. As it is a non-competitive race, the emphasis is on participation and the pleasure of running immersed in the alpine landscape.
Sport and Tradition Together
The event takes place in conjunction with the Sagra di Sant'Antonio, the patron saint's festival of Rivamonte, creating a weekend that combines sport, nature, and tradition. Organized by the Pro Loco of Rivamonte, the Riva-Ron has become an anticipated event of the Agordina summer, capable of combining outdoor activities and village conviviality.
Riva-Ron — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Riva-Ron is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, in Rivamonte Agordino, coinciding with the Sagra di Sant'Antonio. The non-competitive race of approximately 8 km starts at 10:00 AM from the Casa della Gioventù and encircles the Dolomite village of the Agordina Basin.
For the younger participants, there is an Under 16 category on a reduced course of about 1.5 km. Registration is online by 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 6, with bib collection on-site by 9:45 AM on the day of the race.
