Riva in Musica: the historic center becomes a stage

Riva in Musica is a widespread live music festival that enlivens the heart of Riva del Garda, in the autonomous province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. For three summer evenings, the historic center of Riva transforms into a large open-air stage: street bands and artists are distributed across squares, streets, outdoor terraces, restaurants, bars, and shop windows, offering a musical journey that spans a wide variety of genres.

A widespread and itinerant format

The core of the event consists of ten fixed stations located at key points in the center: every evening, different artists and groups perform simultaneously along Viale Roma, Viale Dante, Piazza Cavour, Via Disciplini, Via Santa Maria, Viale San Francesco, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza Battisti, Piazza Tre Novembre, and Piazza Catena. In addition to these spots, several itinerant bands bring their music on the move through the streets and squares, engaging the public in a constantly shifting atmosphere.

Performances generally take place from 8 PM to 11 PM, a schedule designed to accompany the evenings of residents and tourists alike: you can stroll through the alleys, go shopping, enjoy an aperitif or dinner in the local venues, and let the music guide you. A practical QR code, found on promotional materials displayed at local businesses, provides access to an interactive map featuring all the stations and the evening's program.

Organizers

The event is promoted by the Consorzio Riva in Centro, which brings together the commercial activities of the historic center, in collaboration with the Municipality of Riva del Garda. The goal is to enhance the city center as a place for meeting and social interaction, combining cultural offerings with the vibrancy of local commerce and the hospitality of the Alto Garda region.

The evenings have become a staple of the Riva summer calendar, successfully weaving together music, a tradition of hospitality, and the charm of the historic center overlooking the lake.
