The floating lights of the Tresa
Riflessi sul Tresa is one of the most evocative events in Germignaga's summer calendar (Province of Varese). The heart of the event is the spectacle of floating LED lights: hundreds of small colored lights are released upstream and descend along the Tresa river to its mouth in Lake Maggiore, creating a unique scenic effect at night.
Feast, taste, and sustainability
The event, organized by Pro Loco Germignaga, takes place around Parco Il Boschetto, in via Goffredo Mameli, with a program that combines spectacle and conviviality:
- Spectacle of floating lights on the Tresa river, on Saturday late evening;
- Gastronomic weekend at Parco Il Boschetto;
- Dancing evening on Sunday with live music;
- Attention to the environment: the lights are contained in sealed devices, recovered at the mouth to avoid any pollution.
The recovery of the lights at the mouth of the Tresa, managed by the Società Canottieri Germignaga, makes the event environmentally conscious: a detail that combines the magic of the spectacle with respect for the river and Lake Maggiore, in a territory with a strong environmental vocation.
Riflessi sul Tresa — edition 2026
The 2026 edition takes place on May 30 and 31 at Parco Il Boschetto in Germignaga. The highlight is the spectacle of floating LED lights on the Tresa river, scheduled for Saturday 30 at 10:00 PM: hundreds of colored lights descend from the river towards the mouth in Lake Maggiore. Around it, the Pro Loco organizes a gastronomic weekend, with Sunday closing with a dancing evening with the trio Parole e Musica.

How to get there
Germignaga is located in the province of Varese, on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore, at the mouth of the Tresa river. It is reachable via the SS394 and has a train station. The event takes place at Parco Il Boschetto, in via Goffredo Mameli.
Admission and times
Free admission to the spectacle. The light show is generally scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 PM. The gastronomic weekend follows lunch and dinner times.
