Eleven days of great jazz in Riccione's squares and park
Riccione Summer Jazz is now one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer on the Romagna Riviera. For eleven days, the city of Riccione, in the Province of Rimini in Emilia-Romagna, transforms into an open-air stage where jazz dialogues with world music, singer-songwriter music, and big bands. Concerts animate the city's symbolic locations: Piazzale Ceccarini, the elegant heart of Riccione's shopping district, Piazzale Roma, and the amphitheater of Parco degli Olivetani.
Born as a cultural initiative by the Municipality of Riccione, the festival has grown rapidly, earning the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and attracting world-renowned artists. The artistic direction focuses on a refined balance between international headliners and young talents, with particular attention to training: Astri Academy offers scholarships, masterclasses, and residencies to emerging musicians, who have the opportunity to perform alongside the most prestigious guests.
One of the distinctive features of Riccione Summer Jazz is its popular and inclusive nature: most concerts offer free admission, subject to availability, while some major evening events are ticketed and can be purchased on Ticketone. All evenings start at 9:15 PM, as the sunset over the Adriatic gives way to the notes filling the squares.
Attending the festival means experiencing Riccione in its most authentic guise: strolling along Viale Ceccarini, enjoying an aperitif before the show, and then letting yourself be carried away by the music under the stars. Riccione Summer Jazz thus confirms itself as a cultural and tourist driver for the entire Rimini Riviera, capable of uniting local audiences and visitors seeking a holiday filled with good music.
The 2026 edition of Riccione Summer Jazz, with the slogan "Prepare for Emotion," brings eleven days of music to Riccione from July 25 to August 4. The chosen theme is "Voices," understood as sonic identity and pure musical gesture, in symbolic dialogue with the eightieth anniversary of women's suffrage in Italy. Alongside international stars, the festival promotes the training of young musicians thanks to Astri Academy, with scholarships, masterclasses, and residencies.
