An open-air circus in the heart of Riccione

Riccione Family Show is one of the most beloved and recognizable summer festivals on the Romagna Riviera. Organized by the Consorzio Riccione Family Hotels with the patronage and promotion of the Municipality of Riccione, in the Province of Rimini, the event brings the charm of circus-theatre to the main square: acrobatics, comedy, juggling, mime, and contemporary circus acts that enchant audiences of all ages.

Five free evenings between June and August

The formula has become a classic of the Riccione summer: five events spread between late June and mid-August, always with free admission. The stage is Piazzale Ceccarini, the most central urban space in the city, directly in front of the Palazzo del Turismo, which for the occasion transforms into an open-air arena where families gather to spend the evening together.

Artistic Direction and Artists

The artistic direction is entrusted to the talent of Checco Tonti, a director and host who also takes the stage as an actor, juggler, and mime, guiding the evenings with the rhythm and sensitivity of an authentic master of ceremonies. Over the years, the festival has hosted top-level companies and artists, from the Duo Kaos, an Italian-Guatemalan contemporary circus duo that blends dance, theatre, and acrobatics, to Alex Vignoto as the character Giani, and the comedian, juggler, and equilibrist Eddy Mirabella.

The Family Show is the flagship of Riccione's vocation as a family-friendly destination. The evenings combine quality entertainment, magic, and laughter, in a serene and welcoming atmosphere. It is the perfect opportunity for those spending their holidays on the Riviera to experience the city center after sunset, amidst live performances and a festive atmosphere.
