Three days of sport, music, and culture in the Vallerano Municipal Garden
The Ravviva Summer Fest is the signature summer event of Vallerano, a charming village in the Tuscia region of the Viterbo province, Lazio. Launched in 2025 and returning for its second edition in 2026, the festival transforms the Giacomo Matteotti Municipal Garden for three days into an open-air hub where competitive sports, live music, DJ sets, contemporary art, and traditional cuisine converge. The entire event is free to attend, with no charge for concerts, sporting events, or side activities—a deliberate choice by the Ravviva Association to engage the local community and bring young people back into the town's squares.
The sports program is the festival's most distinctive feature. The 2026 edition kicked off with the presentation of the Lions Alto Lazio Rugby project, fresh from their promotion to Serie A. On Saturday evening, the center of the municipal garden hosts an Olympic boxing gala organized in collaboration with the Italian Boxing Federation and the CosmoGym Boxing Team: ten bouts and twenty athletes in an open-air ring, creating a grand event atmosphere. Sunday morning sees the start of the Tuscia Street Hybrid, an urban race that challenges eighty athletes to navigate a course through the streets and historic center of Vallerano, combining strength, endurance, and running. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to martial arts with a grappling tournament hosted alongside the Lotus Club Etruria.
Every evening, the Ravviva Summer Fest stage takes on a new identity. The lineup transitions from provincial underground artists presented by Astrobeat Studio and performances by Sama and her band to DJ sets by Matteo Petretti, culminating in an evening dedicated to the 90s electronic and techno scene featuring Max Ricci, Andrea Mnemonic, and Rexanthony, a legendary name in Italian techno. The program also includes choreography by the NDP – New Dance Project and an acoustic finale by the Trio d'Autore.
Throughout the festival, the gastronomic area managed by Cantina Le Botti of Vallerano is in full swing. In 2026, it inaugurated the first Gulitonni Festival, celebrating a fresh pasta traditional to Vallerano, served every evening with local sauces. Friday and Saturday dinners, along with Sunday lunch and dinner, turn the municipal garden into a true village feast, where the convivial spirit of the Tuscia region meets the festival's young audience.
Alongside sports and music, an exhibition area is dedicated to contemporary art and youth creativity, with artists from across the Viterbo province showcasing streetwear, painting, and sculpture. Furthermore, the Vallerano Youth Council organizes a treasure hunt through the alleys of the historic center—a playful way for visitors to discover the ancient stone architecture and hidden corners of the village.
The Ravviva Summer Fest is also a perfect opportunity to explore Vallerano, a medieval village renowned throughout the Lazio region for its chestnut groves and the famous autumn Chestnut Festival. With the support of the Municipality of Vallerano, the festival brings that same community spirit to the height of summer, offering residents and visitors three days of authentic celebration just a stone's throw from the Cimini Mountains.
The Ravviva Summer Fest II confirms the formula that made its debut a success: three days where sport, music, and culture intertwine in the heart of Vallerano, in the province of Viterbo. The Friday opening features the presentation of the Lions Alto Lazio Rugby project, newly promoted to Serie A, followed by music from underground artists from Astrobeat Studio. Saturday is the day of the grand Olympic boxing gala with the Italian Boxing Federation, while Sunday features the first Tuscia Street Hybrid race through the village streets. Throughout the weekend, the Cantina Le Botti food area serves Gulitonni, traditional Vallerano pasta, and an exhibition area welcomes young artists from across the Tuscia region.
