The historic rally of the Riviera dei Fiori, between modern stages and vintage cars
The Rallye di Sanremo is one of the most important motorsport events in Italy, based in Sanremo, in the province of Imperia. Organized by the Automobile Club del Ponente Ligure, it has written fundamental pages in the history of world rallying and continues to attract crews and fans from all over Europe, between the special stages of the Imperia hinterland and the spectacular city stages.
The event brings together several races: the modern Rallye and the Historic Rally, the latter valid for the European Historic Rally Championship (FIA EHRC), which showcases the vintage cars that have made the history of this sport. Completing the program are the Coppa dei Fiori, the Rally delle Palme, and the Rally Energie Alternative, dedicated to sustainable propulsion vehicles.
For several days, the streets of Sanremo and the Ligurian hinterland are transformed into a grand motorsport stage, with special stages, service parks, and fans along the hairpin bends. The Rallye di Sanremo is an integral part of the identity of the Riviera dei Fiori, a land of sea but also of curves, engines, and great automotive tradition.
The 2026 edition runs from October 14 to 18 and includes the 73rd Rallye di Sanremo, the 41st Historic Rally (valid for the FIA EHRC European Historic Rally Championship), the 40th Coppa dei Fiori, the 27th Rally delle Palme, and the 1st Rally Energie Alternative.
The modern Rallye runs from October 16 to 18, while the Historic Rally is scheduled from October 15 to 17. The organization is handled by the Automobile Club del Ponente Ligure in Imperia.
