The Premio Tenco is the singer-songwriter showcase organised by the Club Tenco in Sanremo, in the province of Imperia. Founded in 1974 in memory of Luigi Tenco, it is considered the most prestigious Italian award dedicated to singer-songwriters, a festival of high artistic, cultural, and technical quality that clearly distinguishes itself from the dynamics of the Sanremo Music Festival.

The most significant Italian and foreign singer-songwriters take turns on the stage of the Ariston Theatre, with the awarding of the Premi Tenco and the Targhe Tenco, among the most coveted recognitions in the sector. The showcase is also a unique opportunity for artists and music professionals to meet and discuss, in evenings that combine concerts, tributes, and rediscoveries.
Sanremo beyond the Festival
With the Premio Tenco, Sanremo confirms its identity as a city of music even in autumn, offering a more intimate and authorial face compared to the big February show. The event attracts enthusiasts from all over Italy every year, drawn by a programme that prioritises the quality and depth of musical writing.
Premio Tenco — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the showcase is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24 at the Ariston Theatre. The format of three evenings of concerts and awards, the heart of the most prestigious recognition for Italian singer-songwriters, has been confirmed.
Season tickets are on pre-sale via clubtenco.it and the theatre's ticket office; tickets for individual evenings will go on sale from July 1, 2026. For the first time, a 15% discount is available for under-25s.

How to get there
Sanremo is served by its own railway station on the Genoa-Ventimiglia line. By car, take the Sanremo exit on the A10 dei Fiori motorway.
Tickets
Season tickets and tickets for individual evenings are available via clubtenco.it and the Ariston Theatre ticket office. A 15% discount is available for under-25s (ticket office only).
