The Festa della Lumaca della Val Nervia is the festival dedicated to one of the most traditional dishes of the hinterland of Camporosso, a municipality in the Val Nervia in the province of Imperia. Snails, present in Ligurian peasant cuisine for centuries, are cooked according to local recipes and offered in a large popular festival that attracts enthusiasts from all over the Riviera dei Fiori.

An authentic festival

Recognized as an Authentic Ligurian Event, the festival is organized by the Pro Loco 'Gli amici del mulino' at the Palatenda Bigauda, an equipped and covered area that guarantees the event even in case of bad weather. In addition to snails, the stands offer other traditional dishes, in a convivial atmosphere enlivened by music.

The Val Nervia and its traditions

The Val Nervia is a territory rich in history and flavours, from medieval villages like Dolceacqua to typical local products from the hinterland.
