A classic car regularity rally through the hills of the Florentine Chianti
The Rally Impruneta Historic is an annual event dedicated to classic car regularity, bringing life to Impruneta and its surrounding hills in the heart of the Florentine Chianti. The event is organized by CAMET (Club Auto e Moto d'Epoca Toscano) in collaboration with the Municipality of Impruneta and the Pro Loco Impruneta, and has become a staple of the Tuscan automotive calendar.
The event was launched in 2023 to revive the historic Rally di Impruneta, a race held in the town until 2003 that left a lasting impression on local enthusiasts. The Rally Impruneta Historic carries on this legacy, transforming it into a regularity challenge for vintage cars where precision and consistency, rather than raw speed, are the keys to victory. The start from the scenic Piazza Buondelmonti, in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria, offers a stunning backdrop of classic car bodies against the charming village setting.
The course winds for approximately 90 km along the panoramic roads between Impruneta and the Val di Pesa, crossing one of Tuscany's most iconic landscapes. The route includes 21 timed trials and two stamp controls, testing the coordination between driver and navigator. The event is part of the TRC (Tuscan Racing Club) calendar and serves as a round of the CAMET Club Championship.
True to the spirit of regularity rallies, the Rally Impruneta Historic concludes with a focus on good company: the finish line leads to a local restaurant where crews gather for lunch and the final prize-giving ceremony. It is the perfect occasion to share stories, admire the vehicles, and celebrate a shared passion for automotive history in true Chianti style.
While the race is reserved for registered crews, the event is highly popular with the public: watching vintage cars parade through the streets of Impruneta and along the Chianti roads is a spectacle that draws both enthusiasts and curious onlookers. The Rally Impruneta Historic confirms the commitment of the Municipality of Impruneta, in the province of Florence (Tuscany), to blending tradition, motors, and the promotion of the local territory.
The fourth edition of the Rally Impruneta Historic is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026, organized by CAMET in collaboration with the Municipality of Impruneta and the Pro Loco. The event is part of the TRC (Tuscan Racing Club) calendar and serves as the third round of the 2026 CAMET Club Championship.
Classifications are divided by vehicle production year, with distinctions between programmable and non-programmable chronometers, as well as women's and under-30 categories.
