The Valdarno motor race through the Tuscan hills and the Setteponti roads
The Rally di Reggello e Colline del Chianti Rufina is one of the most anticipated motorsport events in Tuscany. Organized by Reggello Motor Sport ASD in collaboration with the Automobile Club Firenze, it takes place in the municipality of Reggello, in the Province of Florence, transforming the hilly roads of the Valdarno into a theater of speed, technique, and passion for an entire weekend. In 2026, the event was rebranded to its current name, embracing a wider territory defined by olive groves, vineyards, and historic villages.
The heart of the race lies in its special stages, laid out on roads that wind through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Valdarno and Pratomagno areas. Among the most famous are the Tallini, a fast, mixed-surface stage on a section of the historic Setteponti road; the Leccio, the longest in the competition; the Reggello, considered a classic for its technical variety; and the Acone, known for its hairpin bends and challenging uphill driving. The start and finish are located in Cascia di Reggello, while the service park is set up in Figline Valdarno.
The event is not just a competition for modern cars. Alongside the main rally runs the Coppa Città dell'Olio, reserved for historic vehicles—a tribute to the motorsport tradition and the agricultural identity of the Reggello area, famous for its extra virgin olive oil. Added to this is a new feature: the Reggello Classic, dedicated to cars produced between 1991 and 2000, bringing back the iconic models that defined the rally history of the nineties.
The Rally di Reggello is valid for the Zone Rally Cup and attracts crews from all over Tuscany and beyond, featuring prominent drivers and high-level technical machinery. For enthusiasts and Valdarno locals, it is a festive occasion: a large crowd gathers along the timed sections and at the regrouping areas, while Reggello and the neighboring towns come alive. The roar of engines blends with the charm of the Tuscan hills in an event that celebrates both motorsport and the unique identity of this corner of Tuscany.
For its 18th anniversary, the Rally di Reggello renewed its name and route, becoming the Rally di Reggello e Colline del Chianti Rufina. The event, valid as the fourth round of the Zone Rally Cup 7 and organized by Reggello Motor Sport, attracted 84 crews. The competitive distance covered 72.570 km over nine special stages, within a total route of approximately 291.840 km.
Service park confirmed in Figline Valdarno. Entries closed on May 29, 2026.
18th-anniversary edition with a new name and updated route. Debut of the Reggello Classic category (1991-2000 cars) and return of the Coppa Città dell'Olio historic car race. New Falgano special stage and the return of a stage absent for five years. Valid for Zone Rally Cup 7, Tuscan Rally Trophy, and other trophies.
Reggello can be reached by car via the A1 motorway (Incisa-Reggello exit) and is approximately 40 km from Florence. Cascia di Reggello, the start and finish point, and Figline Valdarno (service park) are well-connected by local roads.
During race days, road closures and traffic modifications are expected along the special stages: it is recommended to check the municipal ordinances and follow the signage provided by the organization.
The program, entry list, and official schedule are published by the organizer, Reggello Motor Sport ASD, and on the ACI Sport portal.
