The Raiano Bean Festival is one of the most beloved gastronomic events of the summer in the town of Raiano, located in the province of L'Aquila in the heart of the Peligna Valley. The festival is entirely dedicated to the bean, a symbol of local rural cuisine, and offers a chance to rediscover the authentic flavors of Abruzzo's culinary heritage in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
Bean-based dishes and food stalls
The heart of the festival is the food stalls set up in Piazza Umberto Postiglione, the center of Raiano's historic district. Every evening, starting at 7:30 PM, visitors can enjoy numerous specialties prepared primarily with beans, following traditional Peligna peasant recipes, alongside other local dishes. How to get there
Raiano is located in the province of L'Aquila, in the Peligna Valley. By car, it can be reached via the A25 motorway (Pratola Peligna-Sulmona exit), just a few kilometers from the town center. The Raiano train station is served by the Rome-Pescara line.
