Artisanal Chocolate Arrives in Marostica
The Puro Cioccolato Festival is a traveling exhibition dedicated to artisanal chocolate which, on its stop in Marostica, enlivens the central Piazza Castello, at the foot of the Lower Castle. For an entire weekend, the Vicenza village fills with the aroma of cocoa, with a market-village of stands managed by master chocolatiers and artisanal pastry chefs from all over Italy and abroad.
All Forms of Cocoa
The stalls offer chocolate in all its forms: from the most intense dark chocolate to creamy white chocolate, including variations with hazelnuts, pistachios, and citrus fruits, up to the great classics of tradition such as cremini, truffles, and nougat. There are also Italian regional specialties and international delicacies to discover with free tastings.
An Opportunity to Visit the Village
The event is also an excellent opportunity to visit Marostica, in the province of Vicenza: the famous chessboard square, the medieval walls, and the two castles provide a backdrop for a delicious stroll. The festival is part of the calendar of many food and wine festivals that animate the Veneto region.

The 2026 edition of the Puro Cioccolato Festival in Marostica takes place from Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22, 2026 in Piazza Castello, with continuous hours from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Over 15 stands of master chocolatiers and artisanal pastry chefs, Italian and foreign, offer chocolate in all its variations — from dark to white, from hazelnut and pistachio creams to cremini, truffles, and nougats — over three days of tastings in the heart of the village.

How to Get There
Marostica (VI) is reachable by car from the A31 (Dueville exit) or from Vicenza Nord, then take the SP248 towards Bassano del Grappa. By train, the nearest stations are Bassano del Grappa or Vicenza, with a bus service to Marostica.
