About Proposta
Forty years of theatre in the valley
Proposta is the historic theatre project of Valle Trompia, in the province of Brescia: a travelling review that for over four decades has brought performances to the valley's municipalities, renewing a deep bond with the community and the places that inhabit it. Promoted by the Comunità Montana di Valle Trompia together with the participating municipalities, it is under the artistic direction of Teatro Terrediconfine.
A travelling review across the municipalities
The programme winds through numerous municipalities in the valley — including Sarezzo, Gardone Val Trompia, Gussago, Collebeato, Lodrino, Marcheno, Lumezzane, Tavernole sul Mella, Nave, Caino, Pezzaze and Bovezzo — using theatres, civic halls and cultural venues. In Tavernole sul Mella, the performances are held at the Museo Il Forno, the ancient smelting furnace on via Forno Fusorio, a suggestive example of industrial archaeology.
Community, art and culture
The common thread of the review is the relationship between theatre and territory: prose, monologues and civil theatre alternate in a programme designed to bring the local audience closer to the stage. Several events are free admission, confirming the project's community-oriented nature.
Proposta — edition 2026
The 43rd edition of Proposta enlivens Valle Trompia from March 1 to June 5, 2026, with performances distributed across the valley's municipalities. The programme alternates prose, monologues, and civil theatre, confirming the review's travelling and community-oriented nature.
In Tavernole sul Mella, at the Museo Il Forno (via Forno Fusorio 1), on Thursday, April 30 at 9:00 PM, "Proietti a modo mio. Una biografia spettacolare", a tribute to the great theatre master Gigi Proietti, created and performed by Silvio Barbiero, will retrace his monologues, sketches, and short stories.

How to get there
Valle Trompia can be reached from Brescia by taking the SP345 road. Individual performances take place in various municipalities: in Tavernole sul Mella, the venue is the Museo Il Forno, in via Forno Fusorio 1.
