Classical and chamber music on Lake Iseo
The Festival Onde Musicali sul Lago d'Iseo is a widespread classical music review that enlivens the lake villages from late spring to early autumn. Lovere, in the province of Bergamo, is one of the main venues of the event, which offers numerous concerts here in charming locations such as the Sala Affreschi of the Accademia Tadini, Villa Milesi, and the squares of the historic centre.
The festival brings together dozens of events spanning classical, chamber, symphonic, opera, early music, and crossover genres. Both internationally renowned artists and emerging young talents take to the stage, in a programme that showcases both great names and new generations of performers, often winners of international competitions.
Spread across more than twenty municipalities between Lake Iseo and Franciacorta, the Festival Onde Musicali makes the relationship between music and landscape its distinctive feature: listening to a quartet or recital in a villa overlooking the water, in a historic church, or in a square at sunset is an experience that combines artistic quality and the beauty of the places. In Lovere, one of the most beautiful villages on the lake, the festival finds an ideal setting.
The 2026 edition of the Festival Onde Musicali sul Lago d'Iseo, the ninth, is scheduled from May 29 to September 5, under the artistic direction of Claudio Piastra. The festival offers 55 concerts in over twenty municipalities around the lake and in Franciacorta, featuring classical, chamber, symphonic, opera, and early music.
In Lovere, concerts take place mainly at the Sala Affreschi of the Accademia Tadini, Villa Milesi, and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
The festival also includes the International Piano Campus by Pianofriends in July. The full programme with all dates and venues is published on the festival's official channels.
Lovere is located at the northern end of Lake Iseo, in the province of Bergamo, reachable by car or boat. The concerts in Lovere mainly take place at the Sala Affreschi of the Accademia Tadini, Villa Milesi, and in the town squares.
Many concerts are free admission; some may require booking. Full programme and details on the festival's official channels.
