The multicultural festival that tells the world on the shores of Lake Iseo
The Festival Narramondo is one of the most original cultural events in the Lake Iseo area. It takes place in Marone, a municipality in the Province of Brescia located on the eastern shore of the lake, and transforms the entire town into an open-air space dedicated to art, meeting, and the expression of world cultures. Founded in 2014 on the initiative of the Associazione Narramondo, the festival makes diversity its central theme, presented through engaging performances, gastronomic curiosities, and craft markets.
The event unfolds over a busy schedule that spans the end of May and the first days of June. The heart of the multicultural festival is the central day, hosted at the Cittadella della Musica e dell'Arte (Citadel of Music and Art), with craft stalls, ethnic gastronomic tastings, and itinerant juggling and music performances. The various days also involve the neighboring municipalities around the lake, in a journey that combines theater, music, and conviviality.
Among the most recent offerings is SCENAPERTA, a theater review specifically designed for children and families, which brings performances to the squares, courtyards, and community spaces of Marone. This choice confirms the festival's aim to move beyond conventional venues to reach the public in everyday spaces.
Supported by the Municipality of Marone and animated by the association's volunteers, Narramondo is now a recognized event for tourism on Lake Iseo, capable of combining the local dimension with an open view of the world. Free admission to all activities makes it an accessible and deeply participatory event.
The 12th edition of the multicultural festival Marone Narramondo is held from May 28 to June 8, 2026, in Marone, on Lake Iseo. The program includes craft markets, theatrical performances, music, juggling, concerts, and gastronomic tastings from various world cultures. Among the new features of this edition is SCENAPERTA, a theater review designed for children and families, hosted in squares, courtyards, and community spaces.
The festival spans over ten days with events spread across Marone and neighboring municipalities on Lake Iseo:
