Vicalvi is a small town in the Comino Valley, in the province of Frosinone, in southern Lazio. The village is dominated by its medieval castle, which is visible from the entire valley thanks to the large white cross on its side, and it preserves a compact historic center with the church of San Giovanni Battista ed Evangelista with its Baroque interiors. The "E Via Cantando" evening is part of a rich summer calendar that the Municipality of Vicalvi publishes every year. The 2026 edition includes, among other things, a cabaret evening with a grilled meat festival and vintage car exhibition at Parco Bosseto (July 19), a karaoke evening with a culinary interlude in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II (August 9), the briscola card game tournament in the historic center (August 15), and the traditional Crespella Festival at the square of the church of San Rocco (August 17). A mosaic of events that keeps the village alive throughout the summer.

The role of the Pro Loco

The Pro Loco of Vicalvi is the engine of the village's associative life: in addition to the summer singing evening, it organizes the Carnival, cultural events, and the medieval festival "Le Lande Incantate" at the castle throughout the year, which attracts visitors from all over the valley. With "E Via Cantando," the association renews every summer a moment of gathering that unites generations, from children to grandparents, in the spirit of folk music.
