Priverno White Night

A night that never ends

There is one night, at the beginning of August, when Priverno decides not to go to sleep. The White Night has become one of the most anticipated summer events in the province of Latina: for about thirteen consecutive hours, the historic center of this Lepini town turns into a huge, sprawling stage where every square has its own stage, every alley its own audience, and every corner its own surprise. It is not a festival with a single big name on the bill, but a choral organism: dozens of simultaneous shows, thousands of people moving on foot from one corner of the town to another, and a festive atmosphere that lasts until the first light of dawn.

The route: from the squares to the village

The geography of the White Night follows the very shape of the historic center. The main axis runs from Piazza Giovanni XXIII, the beating heart and meeting point, to Porta Romana, reaching Piazza Martiri d'Ungheria in the Borgo Sant'Antonio. Along the way, you encounter Piazza del Comune and the inner streets, where musical stages, refreshment points, and installations alternate. This distribution allows you to move freely, changing musical genres within a few dozen meters: this is perhaps the most recognizable feature of the event.

Music, the absolute protagonist

The heart of the evening is live music, entrusted primarily to tribute bands and cover bands from the Lazio region and the national scene. Over the years, tributes to the great names of Italian music—from Adriano Celentano to Rino Gaetano, from Zucchero to 883, and even Ultimo—have alternated alongside homages to international rock and the sounds of the seventies, eighties, and nineties. There is no shortage of more contemporary offerings, from rap to electronic music, designed for younger audiences. The goal declared by the organizers is simple: to offer something for all tastes and ages, without excluding anyone.

Not just concerts

Alongside the stages, the White Night offers a cross-cutting program that enhances local heritage:

• Exhibitions and displays in the spaces of the historic center
• Guided tours of the monuments and iconic places of Priverno
• Street food and gastronomic stands with local products
• Open shops and commercial activities involved until late at night
• Entertainment and street performances for families and children in the early hours of the evening

A grassroots event

The event is conceived and organized by the association I Ragazzi della Notte, with the support of the Municipality of Priverno and the collaboration of local associations, volunteers, merchants, and local artists. It is a model of participatory organization that, edition after edition, has grown the event from a village festival into a reference point for the entire Monti Lepini area. In 2025, the event celebrated its tenth anniversary; in 2026, it reaches its eleventh.

Priverno, the city to discover

Those who arrive for the White Night find much more than just an evening of concerts. Priverno, in southern Lazio, preserves a medieval historic center of great charm, with the town square, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata, and the thirteenth-century town hall. Just outside the town are the archaeological area of Privernum, a Roman city of which the forum and mosaics remain, and the extraordinary Abbey of Fossanova, the first example of Gothic-Cistercian architecture in Italy. The festive night thus becomes an opportunity for a slower discovery of the territory in the following days.
