About Circeo d'Amare

Circeo d'Amare is the major summer festival in San Felice Circeo, in the province of Latina. From July to September, the village at the base of the Circeo promontory comes alive with live concerts, theatre, cinema, guided tours, excursions, sports, and traditional food festivals like the Zucchini Festival and the Blue Fish Festival. The program spans the historic center, the port, and Vigna La Corte, promoted by the Municipality alongside the Pro Loco and local associations, with all events free of charge.

A summer of events at the foot of the Circeo

Circeo d'Amare is the summer program promoted by the Municipality of San Felice Circeo, in the province of Latina, in collaboration with the Pro Loco and local associations to enliven the most vibrant season of the year. From early July to mid-September, the village overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, located within the Circeo National Park, hosts dozens of widespread events: live concerts and shows, theatre and performances, film screenings, cultural meetings, guided tours, excursions, sporting events, food festivals, and patronal feasts. All events are free of charge, a choice that makes the festival a reference point for both residents and tourists on the Pontine coast.

The festival locations

The event is widespread by nature: shows and initiatives take place along the streets of the medieval historic center, the port area, the evocative Vigna La Corte space, and the villages within the municipal territory, such as Borgo Montenero. The promontory's most iconic settings are also featured: the archaeological sites of Quattro Venti and the Roman baths of Torre Paola, the Grotta Guattari, and the Torre dei Templari, which host guided tours and archaeological walks at sunset.

Music, cinema, and special guests

The heart of the festival is the evening programming. In the 2026 edition, the Echi di Circe project, supported by the Lazio Region, brought the concert "L'arte dell'incontro" to Vigna La Corte, featuring Luca Barbarossa and Danilo Rea—a highly acclaimed dialogue between voice and piano. The program alternates auteur evenings, cinema under the stars with special guests from the big screen, piano bars, DJ sets, and theatrical performances, continuing the successful formula that has previously attracted names like Paolo Genovese, Ferzan Ozpetek, and Ornella Muti to Circeo.

Food festivals and Pontine traditions

Circeo d'Amare is also a showcase for local gastronomic traditions. In August, Borgo Montenero hosts the Agro Pontino Zucchini Festival, dedicated to the vegetable that symbolizes the countryside between Sabaudia, Terracina, and San Felice Circeo, recently awarded the European trademark. In early September, the port celebrates the Blue Fish Festival, now in its fifteenth year, featuring tastings, flag-wavers, and craft markets. The program is rounded out by street food events, local flavors, and the patronal celebrations in honor of Saint Felix the Martyr, including the traditional procession on July 29th through the village streets.

Why attend

  • A calendar spanning over two months, with events almost every night and always free admission.
  • Unique locations between the sea, the medieval village, and the archaeological sites of the Circeo National Park.
  • Auteur concerts and guests from the Italian music and film scene.
  • Authentic food festivals that tell the story of the agricultural and maritime identity of the province of Latina.
  • Activities for all ages: excursions, sports, workshops, and family shows.

For southern Lazio, Circeo d'Amare is the event that transforms San Felice Circeo into an open-air stage: a way to experience the Pontine sea beyond the beach, through culture, music, and tradition.
