About Premio Caivano

The Premio Caivano is an annual event held at the Palazzo Marchesale that celebrates individuals from Caivano who have distinguished themselves in medicine, science, culture, business, and civic engagement. Promoted by the Sveglia Caivano association in the municipality of Caivano, near Naples, the award has become a symbol of the region's rebirth: each edition shares stories of excellence and renewal through honors, testimonials, and musical performances. The 2026 edition, the eighth, featured soprano Katia Ricciarelli as a special guest.

The Premio Caivano, a symbol of redemption

The Premio Caivano is an annual event held in the municipality of Caivano, in the province of Naples, in the heart of Campania. Promoted by the Sveglia Caivano association, led by Nino Navas, the award was created to showcase local excellence and present a different side of a community often associated with difficult headlines. Each year, a gala evening celebrates individuals from Caivano who have excelled in fields such as medicine, science, culture, business, sports, and civic duty.

A gala evening at the Palazzo Marchesale

The ceremony takes place in the historic setting of the Palazzo Marchesale, a landmark of the city. The evening alternates between the presentation of awards, personal testimonials, musical interludes, and institutional speeches, creating an atmosphere that blends emotion with civic pride. The main award is presented to a figure whose personal and professional journey embodies the theme of redemption: stories of those who, starting from Caivano, have achieved significant milestones in Italy and abroad while remaining deeply connected to their roots.

The awards

Alongside the main prize, the event presents several Silver Lions dedicated to culture, medicine, youth, and individuals who have contributed to the region's development. Merit-based scholarships for students and bonuses for local schools are also awarded, reflecting a commitment to the new generation. Special mentions are reserved for associations, sports organizations, and projects that enrich the social life of Caivano.

An event for the city

Over the years, the Premio Caivano has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural events in the Naples metropolitan area, supported by local institutions and regional businesses. Beyond the individual winners, the event aims to restore a positive and proactive image of Caivano, celebrating the talent, solidarity, and desire for redemption of an entire community.
