The summer celebration in the heart of the Antigorio Valley, featuring aperitifs, mountain cuisine, and live music.
The Premia Summer Fest is the event that launches the summer in Premia, a village of just over five hundred inhabitants nestled at an altitude of about 800 meters in the picturesque Antigorio Valley, in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (Piedmont). The event takes place in the Pasquer sports and former skating area, the village's recreational hub that hosts an ice rink in winter and becomes the community's meeting point in summer.
The format follows the tradition of the best Ossola village festivals: it begins in the late afternoon with the opening of the venue and an aperitif, followed by a dinner featuring mountain flavors. Food stalls and grills offer sausages, sandwiches, polenta, French fries, and many other specialties to enjoy at tables with friends. As evening falls, live music takes the stage, followed by a DJ set that keeps the dance floor alive until late at night.
The event is promoted by the Pro Loco of Premia in collaboration with the Associazione Uno Sguardo Sulla Valle and the Antigorian Pub. Local volunteers make this evening possible, embodying the community spirit that characterizes the small towns of Upper Ossola: an opportunity to gather, support local associations, and welcome the summer.
Premia is a popular destination for its thermal baths, the spectacular Orridi di Uriezzo canyons carved by glaciers, and the numerous Walser hamlets scattered among the pastures. Attending the Premia Summer Fest is also a great excuse to discover this corner of the Alpine Piedmont, just a stone's throw from the Swiss border, where mountain traditions remain vibrant and authentic.
The festival is held outdoors but is guaranteed even in case of rain thanks to a large covered marquee, ensuring the evening goes ahead regardless of the weather. Admission is free and suitable for all ages, from families to groups of friends.
The 2026 edition of the Summer Festival in Premia is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Pasquer sports and former skating area, organized by the Pro Loco of Premia in collaboration with the Associazione Uno Sguardo Sulla Valle and the Antigorian Pub.
The evening will be entirely dedicated to conviviality, with the area opening for aperitifs at 6:00 PM, followed by a dinner featuring Ossola specialties and plenty of music until late at night.
The festival is held outdoors, with a covered marquee to ensure the evening goes ahead even in case of bad weather.
Premia can be reached by car via the State Road 659 of the Antigorio and Formazza Valleys, about 40 minutes from Domodossola. By train, you can arrive at Domodossola station (on the international Simplon line), then continue by bus or car towards Upper Ossola.
The event takes place in the Pasquer sports area (Via Patinagio), near the former skating rink.
Free admission. Aperitifs, dinners with local specialties, and drinks are available at the stalls managed by the associations. In case of bad weather, the festival is held under a large covered marquee.
