Summer by the Sea in Genoa

Porto Antico EstateSpettacolo is the umbrella event for the entire summer season of shows and events at the Porto Antico di Genova. Now in its 27th edition, the festival is the beating heart of the city's summer: from mid-June to the end of August, the waterfront comes alive every evening with concerts, theatre, comedy, and culture, in three locations overlooking the sea - the Axpo Arena del Mare, the Piazza delle Feste, and the Isola delle Chiatte.

A Calendar of Festivals

The strength of EstateSpettacolo lies in bringing together some of the most important festivals of the Genoa summer under one banner: the SUQ Festival dedicated to cultural exchange, the AltraOnda Festival, the Live in Genova Festival featuring big names in Italian music, the Balena Festival for the independent music scene, the Gezmataz for jazz, Lonely Planet UlisseFest dedicated to travel, as well as Sea Stories and the comedy of Ridere d'Agosto.

The music program is of the highest caliber, with artists such as Fiorella Mannoia, Negramaro, Emma, Subsonica, Francesco Gabbani, and Litfiba, who take turns on the Porto Antico stages in an uninterrupted sequence of evenings. Promoted by Porto Antico di Genova with the support of the Municipality and the Liguria Region, EstateSpettacolo is now a fixture of the Ligurian summer.
