Attraverso Festival in Ovada

Attraverso Festival is one of Piedmont's most recognizable cultural events: a widespread, travelling festival that, year after year, weaves together theatre, literature, music, and ideas in the villages, squares, and viewpoints of the UNESCO-listed lands of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato, reaching as far as the Piedmontese Apennines. For its eleventh edition in 2026, the festival has chosen Ovada as one of its key stops, bringing high-profile events to the heart of the Oltregiogo region.

A festival spread across the territory

Promoted by the Hiroshima Mon Amour ETS Cultural Association in partnership with Produzioni Fuorivia and in collaboration with the Piedmontese Apennine Protected Areas Authority, Attraverso Festival spans nearly 30 municipalities in the provinces of Alessandria, Asti, and Cuneo. The artistic direction is led by Paola Farinetti and Simona Ressico. In Ovada, a town in the Province of Alessandria overlooking the Apennines, events are held in two iconic local cultural venues: the Garden of the A. Rebora Civic School of Music and the Dino Crocco Theatre.

The evenings in Ovada reflect the festival's soul: author talks, theatrical monologues, reinterpretations of great classics, and projects that showcase local youth. From the passionate narration of a Russian literary masterpiece to the exploration of a great songwriter's musical universe, and even a show curated by a local high school drama workshop: every event is designed to engage the audience in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
