The national circuit for authentic Neapolitan pizza arrives in the Ossola Valley
From June 5th to 7th, 2026, Villadossola hosts the Pizza Festival for the first time, the most important national traveling circuit entirely dedicated to pizza. The event brings Piazza della Repubblica, in the center of the Ossola town in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province, to life, offering Piedmont three days of flavor, aromas, and entertainment celebrating the world's most beloved Italian dish.
The heart of the event lies in its open-air ovens and champion Italian pizzaiolos, who prepare and serve pizza in all its forms. From the classic Neapolitan pizza to gourmet creations and traditional fried specialties: fried pizza, panuozzi, calzones, panzerotti, and cuoppi. It is a true celebration of pizza that highlights the art of the Neapolitan pizzaiolo, recognized by UNESCO in 2017 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Pizza Festival was born from an idea by Gianluca Miolli, with the support of the Italian Association of Pizza Chefs, and travels throughout Italy, bringing the culture of great pizza to town squares everywhere. The Villadossola stop is part of a calendar of events that visits numerous Italian cities each year, turning historic centers into meeting places centered around great food.
Beyond the gastronomy, the program offers music and shows suitable for the whole family, with entertainment accompanying the evenings. A free kids' area is set up for the little ones, allowing families to enjoy the event in comfort. Admission is free, an open invitation to the entire Ossola community and visiting guests.
