The art of pizza making conquers Gorizia

The Pizza Festival in Tour is the Gorizia stop of one of the most important travelling festivals dedicated to pizza in Italy. For three days, Piazza della Vittoria in the centre of Gorizia becomes the kingdom of the art of pizza making: eight ovens are always lit and about twenty professional pizzaioli work non-stop to bake fragrant and aromatic pizzas, in a triumph of doughs and toppings.

The festival celebrates pizza in all its variations: from the classic Neapolitan to gourmet, from fried pizza to panuozzo, up to calzone, accompanied by typical sweets like sfogliatelle and cuoppi. A journey into the great tradition of Italian pizza, designed to satisfy all tastes, from purists of the Margherita to lovers of more creative proposals.
