Piteglio in Piazza is the summer festival that, from late June to late August, transforms the village of Piteglio into an open-air stage. As a district of the Municipality of San Marcello Pistoiese, in the Province of Pistoia, Piteglio is a legendary little village in the Pistoia Mountains: perched between the Torbecchia and Liesina valleys, it preserves traces of its ancient castle and a historic center made of stone houses and narrow alleys, suspended above the Lima Valley.

Music as a common thread

The heart of the festival is live music: throughout the summer, concerts animate the village squares on July and August evenings. These are accompanied by gastronomic events, performances, and initiatives designed for families, ensuring every weekend has its own event. It is an authentic village festival formula, where the community and visitors meet outdoors, among the courtyards and small squares of the village.

Traditional flavors

Among the most anticipated events are the evenings dedicated to food: the famous Paella in Piazza, by reservation, and above all Saperi e Sapori, a food and wine tour that distributes tastings across the various courtyards of the village, each with its own typical dish, from Tuscan crostini to homemade tortelli, from grilled meat to homemade desserts with Vin Santo. A formula that tells the story of the Pistoia Mountains' gastronomic identity as you stroll from square to square.

The festival does not forget the little ones: the summer closes with Pinocchio a Piteglio, an afternoon of readings and performances for adults and children, in tribute to the quintessential Tuscan character.
