The Pinza alla Munara Festival is the gastronomic fair that in Stienta, a municipality in the province of Rovigo in Polesine, celebrates one of the most typical products of local tradition: pinza alla munara, the rustic bread linked to the world of mills and millers of the Po river area. The event takes place in Piazza S. Stefano, in the town center, with an outdoor food stand.
A Taste of Pinza
The absolute star is the full platter with cured meats, cheeses, and pinza alla munara, accompanied by a mixed grill with fries, sandwiches, piadinas, vegetables, and other offerings. The stand opens at 7:30 PM on weekdays and 7:00 PM on holidays, and reservations are recommended. It's an opportunity to taste a simple and authentic flavor, a symbol of Polesine's peasant cuisine.
Evenings of Music and Comedy
The gastronomic specialties are complemented by evenings of entertainment, with musical comedy and stand-up shows that liven up the square. The festival is organized by Proloco Stienta Caligo APS, and over the years it has become an anticipated event of the Stienta summer, capable of promoting a local product and attracting visitors from neighboring towns.

The Pinza alla Munara Festival returns to Stienta (RO) on July 3 and 4, 2026, in Piazza S. Stefano, organized by Proloco Stienta Caligo APS. Two evenings dedicated to the typical bread of the Polesine millers.
The food stand offers the full platter with cured meats, cheeses, and pinza alla munara, as well as a mixed grill with fries, sandwiches, piadinas, and vegetables. It opens at 7:30 PM on Friday and 7:00 PM on Saturday. The evenings are enlivened by comedy and stand-up shows.

Program for the 2026 edition:
- Friday, July 3 — from 7:30 PM — Food stand opens (full platter with cured meats, cheeses, and pinza alla munara, mixed grill). In the evening, musical comedy show with the Fratelli Poltronieri
- Saturday, July 4 — from 7:00 PM — Food stand opens. In the evening, comedy with Giusy Zenere ("Two laughs with Giusy Zenere")
