A pink day for prevention

The Pink Summer Festival is the new major charity event in Pratola Peligna, a town in the Peligna Valley in the province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo. Conceived and organized by the PinkPratola association, the festival transforms the Il Campus Sports Center into a vast pink village where music, sports, play, and solidarity intertwine from morning until late at night. The common thread is clear: raising awareness about breast cancer prevention, a cause the association has been championing in the Peligna region for years.

From the Pink Night of Kindness to Pink Summer

The festival was born in 2026 as the evolution of the Pink Night of Kindness, the evening event that PinkPratola hosted for three editions between 2023 and 2025 in the town's historic center. "PinkPratola looks to the future without forgetting its roots": with this spirit, the association expanded its vision, moving from a single night in the square to an entire day at the Campus, capable of embracing different languages and activities and truly involving all ages, from children to adults.

Music, sports, and workshops

The program is designed as an immersive experience that lasts from morning until night. It kicks off with the colorful Pink Parade and continues with sports activities, creative workshops for adults and children, social gatherings, and plenty of live music. There is no shortage of food stands, the Pink Nic for outdoor dining, and the late-afternoon Pink Aperitif, accompanied by a selection of Abruzzo wines. The evening is headlined by a special guest concert and a DJ set that keeps the crowd dancing until late.

Solidarity and the local area

Beyond the entertainment, the heart of the Pink Summer Festival remains its social commitment: the event features free admission, and the proceeds from activities support PinkPratola's prevention and awareness projects. It is an event that celebrates the sense of community in Pratola Peligna and the entire Peligna Valley, blending fun, sharing, and an important cause for everyone's health.
