The Piedmont Regional Market is a traveling fair dedicated to the food and wine excellence of Piedmont, which tours various locations throughout the region during the year. In Stresa, the pearl of Lake Maggiore in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, the market stops twice a year: a first edition in late May and this September edition, which kicks off the autumn season in the Public Gardens and along the famous lakefront, set in one of the most picturesque landscapes in Piedmont.
A stroll through regional excellence
Throughout the weekend, tourists and locals can stroll and shop among the stalls, housed within elegant exhibition pavilions. The products, often hard to find in traditional retail, are presented directly by the Piedmontese producers, who share the passion and commitment required to keep the traditions linked to their specialties alive.
Among the stalls, you will find some of the most representative delicacies of the region:
- Alpine and artisanal cheeses
- Fresh truffles and mushrooms
- Fine wines and cured meats

The Games of Yesteryear

September in Stresa, between lake and culture
Visiting the Piedmont Regional Market in September is also the perfect opportunity to discover Stresa during its famous Stresa Festival, the musical event that enlivens the city at the beginning of the month. The 2026 autumn stop of the Piedmont Regional Market takes place in Stresa on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th, with continuous hours from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, in the Public Gardens and along the Lake Maggiore lakefront.
Along the exhibition route, visitors can discover and purchase Piedmontese food and wine excellence: cheeses, truffles, wines, cured meats, fresh pasta, typical sweets, hazelnuts, artisanal chocolate, honey, fresh mushrooms, fruit, rice, chestnuts, and jams, presented directly by the producers. Completing the event is the popular Games of Yesteryear trail, dedicated to Piedmontese recreational traditions and suitable for the whole family.
The dates of this September edition coincide with the final events of the Stresa Festival, making the weekend particularly rich in events in the town of Stresa. Admission to the market is free.
