About Piccoli Mondi
A review that intertwines books and landscape
In Roncofreddo, a small hilltop village in the Province of Forlì-Cesena overlooking the sea, the Piccoli Mondi review transforms the season from winter to summer into a long journey made of books, music, storytelling, and poetry. Promoted by the Municipality of Roncofreddo together with the F.lli Carnacini Library, the Koinè cooperative, and the "Lacasadellestorie" collective, the event offers ten appointments that intertwine cultural offerings with the discovery of the territory.
Widespread culture, from the historic center to the hamlets
The heart of the review is the F.lli Carnacini Library, but the events gladly leave its rooms to reach some of the most beautiful places in the Municipality: the historic center with its views, the village of Montecodruzzo, the meadow of the church of Madonna del Zotto, and the Prato della Monta in the Ciola Araldi area. It is a culture that becomes a journey and a relationship, where each event becomes an opportunity for discovery and sharing.

A community project
More than just a calendar of events, Piccoli Mondi is a project designed to build community: desired by the municipal administration and the creators of the review, it focuses on stories, territory, and people. The meetings in the library and outdoors are free admission, while walks, guided tours, and shared dinners have a fee. A precious opportunity to experience the most authentic Roncofreddo and Emilia-Romagna, far from the major tourist circuits.
Piccoli Mondi — edition 2026
The second edition of Piccoli Mondi unfolds over four months, from February 20 to June 26, 2026, with ten events that traverse the F.lli Carnacini Library and the villages of the Municipality of Roncofreddo. The common thread of this edition is a tribute to Stefano Benni, combined with the celebration of women's courage and a reflection on the power of stories.
Literature, live music, improvisational theater, storytelling under the stars, village tours, and nature walks compose a journey that makes slowness and the discovery of the territory its added value.
Programme Piccoli Mondi 2026
February 20 (8:30 PM) – F.lli Carnacini Library
- Opening of the exhibition "Esercizi di contrasto" by artist Michele Papetti, with a dialogue with the artist and the sounds of Davide Rocchi's guitar.
March 7 (5:00 PM) – Library
- "Le inaspettate: autrici dimenticate del '900" (The Unexpected: Forgotten 20th-Century Female Authors) with Stella Manduchi, Eleonora Melucci, and Francesca Mairani; readings of poems and excerpts, musical interludes by Chiara Marsili.
March 20 (8:30 PM) – Library
- Presentation of the book by Nadia Fabbri, "L'anello di smeraldo" (The Emerald Ring) (EBS Print, 2026), with accordion interludes by Luca Casadei.
April 1 (4:30 PM) – Library
- Psychopedagogue Fabiola Crudeli presents the illustrated book "La Piadina della nonna" (Grandma's Piadina) (Ponte Vecchio, 2025) for children aged 6 and up, with a drawing workshop.
April 17 (5:00 PM) – Library
- Contemporary fiction with Francesca Mairani and the novel "La casa del ciclista" (The Cyclist's House) (Scatole Parlanti, 2025).
May 21 (8:30 PM) – Terrazza del Dottore, historic center
- "Bennincastrato 2.0", improvisational theater performance by Teatro Scottadito, inspired by Stefano Benni's books.
May 28 (9:00 PM) – Meadow of the Madonna del Zotto church
- "Fralomescur", storytelling under the stars with Sergio Diotti, Fulesta.
June 13 – Montecodruzzo
- 6:00 PM: guided tour of the ancient village with Ivan Severi.
- 8:30 PM: concert for peace "La storia siamo noi" (History is Us) by the duo "Le strade di ieri" (The Roads of Yesterday), with music by De André, Guccini, and De Gregori.
June 26 – Final Walk
- Walk with Caveja Trek and meeting with poet Emiliano Cribari between nature and poetry.

Where
F.lli Carnacini Library, Roncofreddo (FC), Emilia-Romagna. Some events take place in the historic center, in Montecodruzzo, at the meadow of the Madonna del Zotto church, and at the Prato della Monta in the Ciola Araldi area.
How to get there
By car: Roncofreddo can be reached from the Via Emilia (SS9) or from the A14 motorway, Cesena exit, continuing towards the hills of the Cesena area (about 20 km from Cesena). The villages of the review are a few kilometers from the center.
Tickets and reservations
