The Fratelli d'Italia summer festival at the Giardino degli Aranci
Every July, Piazza Italia brings the Roman summer to life with the party festival organized by Fratelli d'Italia Rome, in collaboration with the Lazio Regional Coordination and Gioventรน Nazionale Rome. Established in 2020, the event has grown year after year to become a staple of the city's political and cultural calendar, following the Italian tradition of party festivals. It features four days of debates, public meetings, book presentations, social gatherings, and live music, all open to the public free of charge.
In 2026, the festival takes place at the Giardino degli Aranci (Parco Savello), one of Rome's most evocative spots, overlooking the city's rooftops and domes from the top of the Aventine Hill. The park's panoramic terrace, famous for its sunset view over St. Peter's and the historic keyhole of the Priory of the Knights of Malta, provides the backdrop for the event's evenings, blending political discourse with the relaxed atmosphere of a public garden in the heart of Rome.
The core of Piazza Italia consists of meetings and debates dedicated to the issues of the Capital: mobility and traffic, public green spaces, urban safety, commerce, tourism, housing, city welfare, and sports facilities. The panels feature ministers, deputy ministers, undersecretaries, parliamentarians, and local administrators, alongside representatives from the business, social, cultural, and sports sectors. The event also includes book presentations and entertainment with live music to liven up the evenings following the panel discussions.
The seventh edition, scheduled from July 9 to 12, 2026, is titled "Capital Redemption: The Challenges of the Real City" and is designed as a reflection on the governance of Rome ahead of the 2027 municipal elections. The event focuses on the dialogue between the national government and the daily challenges of the neighborhoods, with an open debate on the future prospects of the city and the Lazio region.
Piazza Italia offers free and open admission: anyone can attend the debates, watch the presentations, and stay for the evening events. The format combines political analysis with citizen engagement on one of the most beautiful terraces in the Municipality of Rome, in the Lazio region.
The seventh edition of the Roman festival of Fratelli d'Italia took place at the Giardino degli Aranci under the title "Capital Redemption: The Challenges of the Real City," addressing the major issues of the city: traffic and mobility, public green spaces, safety, commerce, tourism, housing, and sports facilities. Ministers, parliamentarians, and administrators took the stage to discuss the future governance of Rome. Arianna Meloni reiterated the party's goal: "We want to win the elections and govern Rome." The event concluded one day earlier than originally scheduled.
Indicative program based on press reports; some days underwent changes and the event closed early.
Giardino degli Aranci (Parco Savello), entrance from Piazza Pietro d'Illiria, Aventine district, Rome (Lazio).
By Metro: Line B, Circo Massimo stop, followed by a short walk uphill toward the Aventine. By bus: lines serving Lungotevere Aventino and Circo Massimo. The park does not have a dedicated parking lot; we recommend using public transport.
Free admission to all days and meetings.
Summer evenings on the Aventine are cool and scenic: don't miss the sunset over the city. Comfortable clothing is recommended for the uphill walk.
