When August arrives, there is only one place to spend your evenings in Pianella (province of Pescara, Abruzzo): the Via Villa de Felici school grounds, which transform into a massive festival space for nearly a week. The Beer Festival is now a well-established tradition, passionately organized by the Pro Loco of Pianella, and has become one of the most popular events in the lower Pescara Valley and the Tavo Valley.

Beer, flavor, and live music

The formula is simple yet successful and remains unchanged every year: cold-tap blonde, red, and dark beers, many of which are Abruzzese craft brews, accompanied by a rich gastronomic selection. Alongside the beer taps are stalls serving classic festival favorites: from the essential arrosticini to crispy french fries and gourmet sandwiches. Everything is brought to life by live music, as a different tribute band takes the stage each night to perform the greatest hits of Italian and international music.

The Beer Festival is designed as a popular and convivial celebration, perfect for families, groups of friends, and craft beer enthusiasts. To manage the influx of visitors and ensure everyone has fun safely, the Pro Loco organizes a free shuttle bus service every night, connecting peripheral parking areas to the festival site. It is the perfect opportunity to discover Pianella, a Cittaslow village in the hills of Pescara, and experience the authentic atmosphere of an Abruzzese summer, filled with bustling squares, toasts, and great music under the stars.

Where and when

The event is held in Pianella, in the municipality of the same name in the province of Pescara, at the Via Villa de Felici school grounds. It traditionally takes place in the first half of August and lasts for six consecutive nights, enlivening the town with concerts, food, and conviviality until late at night.
