Craft beers, pork knuckle and dancing in Petrignano d'Assisi
The Beer and Bavarian Pork Knuckle Festival is one of the most attended festivals of the summer in Petrignano d'Assisi, a hamlet of the Municipality of Assisi (province of Perugia). Organized by the local Pro Loco, it combines Umbrian gastronomic tradition with the taste of Bavarian-style beer festivals.
The signature dish is the pork knuckle, served with sauerkraut and fried potatoes, accompanied by craft beers in blonde, red, and dark versions. There are also traditional flatbreads (torte al testo) and other typical Umbrian dishes. The festival also features live music and a dance floor of about 500 square meters, where people dance until late at night.
With good food, beer, and dancing, the event is a classic summer gathering for the community of Petrignano and visitors to the Assisi area, in a spirit of popular celebration and conviviality.
The Beer and Bavarian Pork Knuckle Festival renews its summer appointment in Petrignano d'Assisi for 2026, during June. The main attractions are confirmed: craft beers (blonde, red, dark), pork knuckle with sauerkraut and fried potatoes, traditional flatbreads, and other Umbrian specialties.
As always, the festival offers live music and a large dance floor.
The precise dates and evening programs for 2026 will be communicated by the Pro Loco of Petrignano closer to the event (during June).
