The Encounter of Peoples in Thiene
Every May, Villa Fabris Park in Thiene (province of Vicenza) hosts the Peoples' Festival, an event dedicated to the encounter between cultures, coexistence, and the valorization of differences as a resource for the community. A day of sharing made of stories, music, dances, games, and intercultural dialogue.
Procession, Stands, and World Performances
The festival opens with a procession that crosses the historic center: representatives of different countries parade in typical clothing and colorful motifs, each displaying a chosen word-value written in their original language. This is followed by the opening of country and association stands, with a picnic area, performances from around the world, and the Agorà Tent, a space for discussion and storytelling.
A Festival of Values
Promoted by the Thiene Migrant Pastoral Network, the Peoples' Festival involves peoples, associations, and volunteers from the area every year. More than a folkloric event, it is an occasion for dialogue and encounter that makes Thiene a laboratory of coexistence and community, in the heart of Alto Vicentino.
Peoples' Festival — edition 2026
The 17th edition of the Peoples' Festival is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Villa Fabris Park, with the theme "Let Us Bloom Again". The procession parades in typical clothing and floral motifs, but above all with values: each representative displays a sign with the chosen word, written in their original language.
In the preceding days, on Tuesday, May 19, a cultural evening is also scheduled at the Fonato Auditorium dedicated to the theme "Women and Africa, between reality and prejudice".

- 11:00 AM — Peoples' procession through the historic center with the Mosaic of Values
- 12:30 PM — Opening of country and association stands, picnic area
- 2:30 PM — World performances and opening of the Agorà Tent
- 6:30 PM — Non-alcoholic aperitif
- 7:00 PM — Lottery drawing

How to get there
Thiene is reachable by car from the A31 Valdastico (Thiene exit) and by train on the Vicenza–Schio line. Villa Fabris Park is a short distance from the historic center.
