The great antique market exhibition in the village of Montefeltro
The National Antique Market Exhibition of Pennabilli is one of the longest-running and most appreciated antique fairs in Italy. Founded in 1972, it will reach its 55th edition in 2026, confirming itself as a benchmark event for collectors, enthusiasts, and the curious. The event takes place in the historic center of Pennabilli, an ancient medieval village in Montefeltro, in the Romagna Apennines, in the province of Rimini.
The formula that makes this exhibition unique is its widespread setting: antique dealers do not exhibit in anonymous stands, but in the shops and palaces of the historic center. Visitors stroll through alleys, staircases, and courtyards discovering paintings, sculptures, antique furniture, ceramics, silverware, jewelry, and valuable art objects. The setup involves some of the most beautiful places in Pennabilli, including the Palazzo del Bargello, the Palazzo Carboni, the Teatro Vittoria, the Church of San Filippo, the Monastery of the Augustinian Sisters, and the famous Orto dei Frutti Dimenticati (Garden of Forgotten Fruits), one of the poetic places desired by Tonino Guerra.
Each year, the exhibition brings together a selection of about 25 antique dealers from various Italian regions, with high-level offerings ranging from antique furniture to painting, from sculpture to collectible objects. The quality of the exhibitors and the care in the setup have made Pennabilli a privileged meeting point between the art market and cultural tourism.
Alongside the antique market, the event offers Fuori Mostra (Off Exhibition), a rich collateral cultural program consisting of exhibitions, art shows, workshops, and artistic residencies that create a dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity. The 2026 edition opens with an exhibition dedicated to the sculptor Ilario Fioravanti at the Palazzo del Bargello, a tribute to the world of the circus and acrobats as a metaphor for human fragility.
Visiting the exhibition is also an opportunity to discover Pennabilli, a village nestled in the green Montefeltro, a borderland between Romagna, Marche, and Tuscany. Its squares, scattered museums, and Apennine landscapes make this corner of Emilia-Romagna an ideal destination for a weekend of art, nature, and good food.
From July 4th to 19th, 2026, the village of Pennabilli hosts the 55th National Antique Market Exhibition. The exhibition is spread throughout the historic center, including Palazzo del Bargello, Palazzo Carboni, Teatro Vittoria, Church of San Filippo, the Monastery of the Augustinian Sisters, and the Garden of Forgotten Fruits.
The collateral program Fuori Mostra 2026 was inaugurated on June 7th with the exhibition "The Struggle to Live. The Circus and Acrobats of Ilario Fioravanti", held at the Palazzo del Bargello.
The 2026 edition takes place from July 4th to 19th. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
