The Verucchio Music Festival
The Verucchio Music Festival is one of the most beloved and long-standing summer music events in the Romagna hinterland. Founded in 1984, every July it transforms the historic center of Verucchio, a splendid Malatesta village perched on the hills of the province of Rimini, into an open-air stage. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Verucchio with the artistic direction of Ponderosa Music & Art, an entity known for the care and coherence of its cultural offerings.

The festival is distinguished by a refined program, far from the logic of large commercial events: the protagonists are singer-songwriters, avant-garde music, classical music, and the intersections between music, literature, and theater. The main concerts take place in Piazza Battaglini, on the parvis of the Collegiata Church, while special events animate the Malatesta Fortress and the Pazzini Theater, creating a unique dialogue between music and historical heritage.

Verucchio Music Festival 2026 — 42nd Edition
The 42nd edition of the Verucchio Music Festival will be held from July 19 to 25, 2026, in the historic center of Verucchio, in the province of Rimini. This year again, the program alternates major concerts in Piazza Battaglini with refined special events hosted in the most evocative locations of the village.
The main concerts, with free admission subject to availability, will feature some of the most original voices of Italian singer-songwriters, while the events at the Rocca Malatestiana and the Pazzini Theater will blend music, literature, and theater.

- Sunday, July 19, 9:00 PM — Rocca Malatestiana: "Lo Specchio di Borges" with Massimiliano Finazzer Flory (special event).
- Tuesday, July 21, 9:00 PM — Teatro Pazzini: "Così fan tutte" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
- Thursday, July 23 — Piazza Battaglini: Giovanni Truppi with "La Lunga Fiaba di Sabbia", a show blending music and literature inspired by Pasolini and Calvino; opening act by Simone Matteuzzi.
- Friday, July 24 — Piazza Battaglini: Cristina Donà, one of the most original voices on the Italian music scene.
- Saturday, July 25 — Piazza Battaglini: Pacifico with "Collezioni", in duo with pianist Carlo Gaudiello.

Verucchio is located in the Rimini hinterland, about 18 km from Rimini. By car, it can be reached via the SS258 Marecchiese; by train, the reference station is Rimini, then connected by Start Romagna bus lines to Verucchio.
