The feast of the patron saint San Zeno of Verona on Monte Baldo
The Patronal Feast of San Zeno is the feast of the patron saint of San Zeno di Montagna, in the province of Verona, and is celebrated on April 12th in honor of San Zeno of Verona, the eighth bishop of the Scaliger city and patron saint of Verona. The village, which takes its name from him, is one of the most panoramic balconies overlooking Lake Garda, nestled on the slopes of Monte Baldo.
The day intertwines religious celebrations in honor of the patron saint with moments of festivity and folklore that involve the community. A heartfelt and authentic spring recurrence, which precedes the village's busy summer and autumn seasons, marked by the renowned DOP Chestnut Festival.
San Zeno di Montagna offers one of the most beautiful views of the Veronese side of Garda, with a view of the lake and mountains. The patronal feast is also an opportunity to discover this village on Monte Baldo during the spring days, amidst nature, tradition, and mountain hospitality.
