The feast of a small village
The Patronal Feast of Oliva Gessi, dedicated to San Martino and also known as Oliva Gessi in Celebration, is the most important summer event in one of the smallest municipalities in the province of Pavia: just 180 inhabitants, perched on the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese between Casteggio and Montalto Pavese. For a week, the village transforms into a grand celebration, where the community comes together.

The program alternates gastronomic evenings with live music, Theatre Under the Stars performances featuring comedies from the local company, aperitifs, concerts, and traditional dance nights. The cuisine offers typical regional dishes, such as Bârbâlâ, in a convivial atmosphere that is the true heart of the village feast.

At the end of July 2026, Oliva Gessi renews its patronal feast, known as Oliva Gessi in Celebration, with a week of events. As tradition dictates, the program alternates gastronomic evenings with live music, Theatre Under the Stars performances, aperitifs, concerts, and traditional dance nights.
