Lorenzago celebrates its patron saints in the heart of Cadore
The Patronal Feast of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus is the occasion that animates Lorenzago di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, every July 12th. The saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus of Aquileia, martyrs of the Aquileian tradition, are the patrons of the village and give their name to the parish church located in Piazza Calvi.
The feast centres around the religious celebrations in the Parish Church of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus, the focal point of the day, complemented by opportunities for the entire community to gather and socialise. It is one of the most cherished events of the year for Lorenzago, attracting both residents and visitors.
Nestled among the Dolomites, Lorenzago experiences its patronal feast as a moment of identity and rootedness in tradition. The connection with the Aquileian saints testifies to the deep religious history of Cadore and the Belluno region.
For 2026, the Patronal Feast of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus will be held on Sunday, July 12th, the day dedicated to Lorenzago's patrons. Celebrations will take place around the Parish Church in Piazza Calvi, complemented by community gatherings.
The detailed program for the day—including Mass times and any procession—will be announced by the Municipality and the Parish a few days before the feast. The event is free and open to all citizens.
