In Soraga di Fassa, a small Ladin village nestled at an altitude of about 1,210 meters in Val di Fassa (Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige), summer evenings come alive to the sound of the accordion. Passi a tempo di liscio is an event designed for fans of traditional dance: an evening dedicated to partner and group dances where you can rediscover the simple pleasure of hitting the dance floor under the gaze of the Dolomites.

Waltz, mazurka, polka, and tango

The repertoire features the most authentic liscio, the kind found at village festivals and mountain dance halls: waltzes, mazurkas, polkas, and tangos follow one another throughout the evening in a warm and convivial atmosphere. Setting the pace are Martino and Daniele Girardi, a teacher at the Il Pentagramma music school in Tesero, whose accordion playing keeps the crowd moving from the first steps until late in the evening.

Open to everyone, from experts to beginners

You don't need to know how to dance to participate: the organizers' invitation is clear: "It doesn't matter if you are an expert dancer or a beginner, come dance and have fun with us." The event is held in the La Gran Ciasa multipurpose hall, located at the Soraga di Fassa tourist office, a space that hosts most of the village's summer initiatives. The event is organized by the Comitato Manifestazioni Soraga, the association that enlivens the village's summer calendar with evenings of music, dance, and Ladin tradition.
